Abstract
// ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH: In his "Notiz über sozialwissenschaftliche Objektivität" published in 1965 Adorno misquotes Hegel by mixing up two words. This seems to be of minor significance at first, but by careful examination it is shown that this lapse points to the larger issue of Adorno"s problematic adoption of Hegel"s term {"Begriff".} It distorts Adorno"s understanding of another component of Hegel"s theory: the relationship between social objectivity and the individual.
